NTSE Jammu & Kashmir

“State Board of School Education, Jammu & Kashmir has recently released official notification for State-level NTS exam stage-1.”

NTSE is conducted in two stages, the NTSE Stage-1 is being conducted on State Level by respective State Education Board of Schools & the NTSE Stage-2 by NCERT, Delhi. Total 1000 students are selected through this exam & all the selected students are provided with a monthly scholarship for their further studies up to Post Graduate level.

Eligibility

All those eligible students studying in class 10th in any Government/Private Schools/ Kendriya/Navodya Vidyalaya or other school recognized/affiliated with JKBOSE or CBSE.

Students must have a minimum of 60% (5% relaxation for SC/ST category) in class 9th and due for appearing in ensuring class 10th Annual Examination i.e October 2018 in Kashmir Division/ Winter Zones areas of Jammu Division and March-2019 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division

Application Fee:

The application fee for Jammu & Kashmir NTSE Stage-1 exam –110 Rs
Last Date to submit application form- 15th September 2018

The State Level NTSE exam will have two test papers –

• MAT (Mental Ability Test) &
• SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)

Both the papers weigh 100 questions each with 1 marks for each right question and exam duration will be 120 minutes There is no particular syllabus for the exam but syllabi of class 9th & 10th are recommended.

It is notified for information of all the concerned that the following candidates of Class 10th have qualified 1st stage National Talent Search Examination 2017-18, held on 17th of Dec 2017 (Sunday) at various centers across the state. Total 35 Candidates are qualified for NTSE Stage 2 exam from jammu and Kashmir. These candidates will appear in the final test on 13th May (Sunday), organized by NCERT, Delhi.

It is notified information of all the eligible candidates of Class-X students that the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education is conducting National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage-1 for 2017-18 of Class-X Students on 5th November, 2017(Sunday) as per the guidelines of MHRD, New Delhi. The students of Class-X studying in Govt./Private schools/Kendriya Vidyalayas/Navodaya Vidyalayas or any other type of school recognized/affiliated with JKBOSE or CBSE, who have secured minimum of 60% marks(General Category), 55% marks (SC/ST /Physically Disabled) in class-IX and are due for appearing in the ensuing Xth Class examination(October-2017) Kashmir Division/Winter Zones areas of Jammu Division and March-2018 in summer Zone areas of Jammu Division are eligible to appear in the examination. The examination is being conducted throughout the country to select the students for second stage NTSE conducted by NCERT.

Reservation: As per National Reservation Norms, lS% scholarship is reserved for SC category, 7.S% scholarship for students belonging to ST and 4% for physically challenged Group of students.
Admission Forms can be downloaded from JKBOSE’s website www.jkbose.co.in or can be obtained from [arnmu and Kashmir state Board of School Education, Sub Office’s/Branch Office’s and Academic Division, Bemina, Bye Pass, Srinagar / Rehari Colony, Jammu. The application forms duly attested by the Principal of the school and accompanied by the requisite certificates(Marks card, reserved certificate issued by competent authority, if any) and Bank draft favouring Liaison Officer, NTSE of Rs 100/=(Rupees One hundred Only) payable at RCC, Srinagar, should be submitted by or before 20th Sep 2017

Jammu & Kashmir state board of school education has declared the Result of State Level National Talent Search Examination Jammu & Kashmir NTSE 2017.
Following students of class 10th have been qualified 1st stage NTSE Examination 2017, held on 27th November, 2016 (Sunday) at various centers across the state. Total 43 students will appear in NTSE Stage-2 Examination, will be held on 14th of May, 2017 by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi.

State Board of School Education, Jammu & Kashmir has released the notification for NTSE Stage I 2016-17. Exam will be held on 6th November 2016 (Sunday).
Last date to fill the application form is 15th September (on or before) at JKBOSE concerned CDR wings Jammu/Shrinagar or sub/branch offices.

NTSE State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) shall be conducting NTSE 2016 First Level in November, 2015. NTSE Stage I qualified students will be eligible to appear for Stage II which is to be conducted by NCERT, New Delhi.
