Meghalaya NTSE Stage-1 Result 2019-20 has been declared. Download the list of qualified candidates now

Directorate of Educational Research & Training, Meghalaya, Shillong has released the result of NTSE 2020 (Stage-1). Total 50 Candidates have been qualified for NTSE stage-2 Examination. 

Based on the stage-1 exam conducted by the Directorate of Educational Research & Training, Meghalaya, Shillong on the 2nd November, 2019 the following candidates of class X are selected to appear for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE Stage-2) to be conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi on the 10th May, 2020. THe Admission Letter/Hall Ticket will be Auti-generated and the selected candidates can download it from NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in in the month of April, 2020 for appearing the Examination. Other details including Center of Examination will be intimated directly by NCERT, New Delhi.

Further, it is to be mentioned that OBC (non-creamy layer) Certificates were not enclosed with the application forms. All OBC candidates have to produced National/Central list current OBC certificates (format attached) to DERT Office within 30 Days of the declaration of the result, otherwise, Stage-II NTS level Admit card from NCERT will not be issued to these candidates.

Meghalaya state NTSE 2018-19 stage-1 Official Notification Released | Check Exam dates, Pattern, Eligibility etc

“DERT (Directorate of Educational Research and Training), Shillong has recently released official notification for State level NTS exam stage-1.”

NTSE is an abbreviated term for National Talent Search Exam. This exam is conducted in two stages, the NTSE Stage-1 is being conducted on State Level by respective State Education Board of Schools & the NTSE Stage-2 by NCERT, Delhi. Total 1000 students are selected through NTS exam & all the selected students are provided a monthly scholarship for their further studies up to Post Graduate level.

Eligibility

  • All students currently studying in class 10th from any recognized school under Meghalaya State Education Board.
  • NMMSS (National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme) awardees are also eligible for the NTS exam 2018-19.
  • Students must have minimum 60% (for General & 55% for Rest categories) in class 9th.
  • The maximum age is restricted to 18 years only (as on 1st July 2018).

Exam Pattern:

The State Level NTSE exam will have two test papers –

  1. MAT (Mental Ability Test) &
  2. SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)

Both the papers weigh 100 questions each with 1 marks for each right question and exam duration will be 120 minutes (& 150 minutes for Differently abled students). There is no particular syllabus for the exam but syllabi of class 9th & 10th are recommended.

Important dates:

  • Last date for submitting Application Form: 28th September 2018
  • Expected Date for NTSE Admit Card release: 24th October 2018
  • NTSE Stage-1 Exam Date: 03rd November 2018
  • NTSE Stage-2 Exam Date: 12th May 2019 (As Expected)

Meghalaya NTSE 2018 Result Declared. Download the Result List

NTSE Meghalaya 2018 Result has been announced.  Directorate of Educational Research and Training (DERT), Meghalaya, Shillong has declared the result of NTSE Meghalaya 2018 (stage 1) in online mode.  Meghalaya stage 1 exam was conducted on November 4, 2017. The cutoff along with the NTSE Result has been released.

Total 25 students have qualified the exam and became eligible for the NTSE Stage 2.Candidates who have qualified stage 1 will have to appear for stage 2 of the examination which will be conducted by NCERT on May 13, 2018.

On the basis of the National Talent Search Examination, 1000 students will be awarded scholarships. The amount of scholarship for Class-XI to XII will be of Rs.1250/- per month. For Undergraduates and Post-graduates, the scholarship will be Rs.2000/- per month. Amount of Scholarship for PhD is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms. About 4ooo students from different states of India got selected for NTSE Stage -2.

There is a two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For NTSE Stage-I, Selection is done by States/UTs through a written examination. Students, who Qualify   Stage- I, are eligible to appear for Stage-II examination.

Based on the Screening Test Conducted by the Directorate of Educational Research and Training Meghalaya, Shilong on 5th November, 2016 the following candidates of class X are selected to appear for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2017 Stage-II to be conducted by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi on the 14th May 2017. The admission card and other details including the Centre of the examination will be sent to the selected Candidates directly.
