The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has postponed stage 2 of the National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) 2021 due to the COVID-19 situation and lockdown enforced in the states and UTs. The National Talent Search Exam or NTSE stage 2 exam 2021 was scheduled to be held on 13th June.
The NCERT will announce the revised dates of the NTSE stage 2 examination on the official website after the COVID-19 situation comes to normal and it is safe to conduct the examination.
As per the official notification, “Due to prevailing situation of COVID-19 in the Country and the enforced lockdown in different States/UTs, it is decided to postpone the NTSE stage-2 exam which was scheduled to be held on 13th June, 2021”
National Talent Search Examination, popularly known as NTSE, is conducted for identifying talented students who want to pursue higher education in Science and Social Studies streams. The NTSE scheme aims to award talented students pursuing education in Science and Social Studies stream with scholarships to help continue their education.
A total of 2000 students will be selected for a monthly scholarship by NCERT. Class 11 and 12 students will get a scholarship of Rs 1,250 per month. For Graduate and Post Graduate students, the scholarship amount is Rs 2000 per month. At the same time, the scholarship for Ph.D. students is as per UGC norms.
