National Talent Search Examination Everything about NTSE Exam
The Directorate of Government Examinations has invited applications from eligible candidates for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) to be held in all district headquarters on November 18.
According to a release from K. Lalitha, Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations, the application forms could be downloaded from www.dge.tn.nic.in/NTSE.
Students studying in Standard X in schools approved by the Central and State governments during 2012-13 and who obtained a minimum of 60 % marks in the Standard IX annual examinations in 2011-12 alone are eligible to apply . Students who failed in the NTSE (Class VIII) examination and who passed in the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination could also apply for the NTSE.
The NTSE and NMMS examinations would be held separately from 2012-13, and the notification about the NMMS exam would be issued later.
School headmasters have been asked to collect the examination fee of Rs.50 from each candidate and remit it in the Treasury, and send a chalan along with applications and relevant certificates (community certificate, income certificate, etc.) to the office of the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations, Vellore either in person or by post before 5 p.m. on August 31.
