The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a National Level Examination which is conducted by the National Council of Education Research (NCERT) and Training. The exam aims to recognize young talent and provide deserving candidates with scholarships.

Notification Released for Madhya Pradesh NTSE 2021 Stage-1, Read Important Details Here

The Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Madhya Pradesh has now released NTSE Stage 1 MP registration form for the session 2020-21 on www.mponline.gov.in.

The form was released on October 21, 2020. The last date of submitting the application form online for NTSE Stage 1 is November 13, 2020. Admit card for NTSE MP 2020, Stage 1 are reported to be made available online in the first week of December 2020.

It is to be noted that a total of 186 Students will be selected after the NTSE stage I, who will then appear for Stage II.

After clearing the NTSE stage-2 exam, 2000 students will be provided scholarships by NCERT, which include the following:

  • Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month in class 11th and 12th.
  • Scholarship pf Rs 2000/- per month in Graduation and Post-Graduation, Rs. 2000/- per month will be
  • Scholarship for Ph.D. students as per UGC Norms.

Eligibility

All students of Class 10 studying are eligible for NTSE MP stage 1 exam 2020-21. Students who study in open schools can also take part in the stage 1 exam provided their age is below 18 years. Students should have scored at least 40% in Class 9 (32% for the reserved category) in order to be eligible for stage 1 registration.

Exam Pattern

The State Level NTSE exam will have two test papers namely –

MAT (Mental Ability Test) &

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)

Punjab NTSE 2021 : Check Eligibility, Application Form, Complete Schedule

State Council of Educational Research & training (SCERT) Punjab has released a notification for NTSE Stage-1 exam Punjab. This year Punjab State NTSE Exam to be conducting on 13 December 2020,Sunday. Selected students from this exam will be appeared in NTSE Stage-II exam next year. National Level Examination will be conducted by NCERT Delhi on 13 June 2021.

Punjab NTSE 2021 Eligibility :

Students studying in 10th class in state govt. Kendriya Vidhyalyas, Navodaya Vidhyalyas or any other type of recognized/affiliated schools, situated in Punjab securing minimum 70% marks for general category and 55% marks for SC/ST/Physically challenged students in 9th class annual examination are eligible.

Punjab NTSE Syllabus

There is no prescribed syllabus for NTSE Stage-1 Examination. However the standard of quests shall be conforming to the level of class IX and X

Gujarat NTSE 2020-21 Stage 1 Official Notification out, Check all Important Details

State Examination Board, Gujarat has released the official notification for NTSE 2021 stage 1 on their website. As most of the state boards are following the same exam schedule, expect some boards. NTSE stage-1 for Gujarat is scheduled to be conducted on 13-Dec-2020.

Eligibility

  • All students currently studying in class 10th from any recognized school under Gujarat State Education Board.
  • Students must have minimum 60% (for General & 55% for Rest categories) in class 9th.
  • The minimum age decided by the State Board to appear in this exam is restricted to 18 years only (as on 1st July, Appearing Year).

Exam Pattern:

The State Level NTSE exam will have two test papers –

  • MAT (Mental Ability Test) &
  • SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)

Both the papers will weigh 100 questions each with 1 marks for each right question and exam duration will be 120 minutes (& 150 minutes for Differently abled students). There is no particular syllabus for the exam but syllabi of class 9th & 10th are recommended. Qualifying marks for General/OBC category students will be 40 & 32 marks for rest of reserved categories.

The National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X is meant to identify and nurture talent. The examination is conducted every year at two levels:

Stage-1 (State level)

NTSE Scholarship: About two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows:

  1. Scholarship of Rs. 1250/ per month for class XI to XII
  2. Scholarship of Rs. 2000/ per month for undergraduates and Post-graduates.
  3. Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with UGC norms.

NTSE Selection Process : Stage-1 Selection will be done by State/UTs and those who are selected/recommended from Stage-1 examination, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination conducted by NCERT.

NTSE Qualifying Marks: Qualifying marks for candidates from SC/ST/PH category is 32% in each paper and for others (General/OBC & EWS) categories it is 40% in each paper.

NTSE Eligibility: Students studying in Class X are eligible to appear for the Stage -1 exam conducted by the States/UTs, in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction.

Students who are registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 ( as on July 1, of the appearing year), the student is not employed and is appearing in Class X exam for the first time.

NTSE Application Process : You may contact the State/UT Liaison officer for procuring application form.

The completed application form should be signed by the principal of the school must adhere to the last date of submission of the Application Form. Different states many have different last dates for submission. Please confirm from the Liaison officer of your state, the address at which the completed forms are to be submitted. NTSE Form Fees : States and Union Territories may notify the fee required which will be paid for the Stage-1 examination. Therefore, before submitting the application form, you may find out the fees charged for stage-1 Examination and also the mode of payment from the respective state liaison officers However, NCERT does not charge any fee for Stage-II Examination
