National Talent Search Examination Everything about NTSE Exam
“State Board of School Education, Jammu & Kashmir has recently released official notification for State-level NTS exam stage-1.”
NTSE is conducted in two stages, the NTSE Stage-1 is being conducted on State Level by respective State Education Board of Schools & the NTSE Stage-2 by NCERT, Delhi. Total 1000 students are selected through this exam & all the selected students are provided with a monthly scholarship for their further studies up to Post Graduate level.
Eligibility
All those eligible students studying in class 10th in any Government/Private Schools/ Kendriya/Navodya Vidyalaya or other school recognized/affiliated with JKBOSE or CBSE.
Students must have a minimum of 60% (5% relaxation for SC/ST category) in class 9th and due for appearing in ensuring class 10th Annual Examination i.e October 2018 in Kashmir Division/ Winter Zones areas of Jammu Division and March-2019 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division

The application fee for Jammu & Kashmir NTSE Stage-1 exam –110 Rs
Last Date to submit application form- 15th September 2018
The State Level NTSE exam will have two test papers –
- MAT (Mental Ability Test) &
- SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)
Both the papers weigh 100 questions each with 1 marks for each right question and exam duration will be 120 minutes There is no particular syllabus for the exam but syllabi of class 9th & 10th are recommended.
