National Talent Search Examination Everything about NTSE Exam
State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) has released the application form for National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) stage 1, session 2020-21 for class X.
It is to be noted that the Haryana Stage 1 NTSE 2020- 2021 is scheduled to be conducted on December 13, 2020, across the stage. The Stage II exam will be conducted on June 13, 2021.
Students qualifying the stage I of NTSE will be eligible to appear in National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) stage II which is to be conducted by NCERT.
A total of 186 Students will be selected after the NTSE stage I, who will then appear for Stage II.
After clearing the NTSE stage-2 exam, 2000 students will be provided scholarships by NCERT, which include the following:
- Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month in class 11th and 12th.
- Scholarship pf Rs 2000/- per month in Graduation and Post-Graduation, Rs. 2000/- per month will be
- Scholarship for Ph.D. students as per UGC Norms.
Haryana NTSE Eligibility Criteria
Students currently studying in class 10th from any of the recognized schools under the Haryana State Education Board can appear for NTSE Stage 1. Students in the general category must have a minimum of 60% for rest categories should have 55% in class IX.
Haryana NTSE Exam Pattern
The State Level NTSE exam will have two test papers namely –
MAT (Mental Ability Test) &
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)
Marks decided for both exams is 100 with 2 hours of Exam duration for each. While there is no particular syllabus for NTSE stage 1, students are advised to focus on the syllabus of class IX and X.
The qualifying marks for NTSE stage-1 are a minimum of 40% for general category students & 32% for the reserved category students.

Last Date to Fill Online Application Form: November 19, 2020
NTSE Stage 1 Exam Date: December 13, 2020
